Winter Beer Launch Tasting

Guided Tasting Session With Our 6 New Winter Beers

To celebrate the arrival of winter we have launched and relaunched 6 beers that highlights a range of what we are as a brewery. We decided it was too good for us to miss out on so we took the brewery staff down to the event to share our creations.

For the participants we produced a range of tasting notes to log down the flavours and experiences of each of the beers.

At the tasting itself we used our horse shoe tasting bar which is great for getting people together and chatting about the beers.

The participants got the chance to find out which of the lineup they liked best and were able to talk with our brewers. This not only provided great feedback for ourselves but also allowed them to learn about the techniques used in a particular brew to gain inspiration for themselves.

Of The Sea Foraging Event

To celebrate the launch of  our new beer; 'Of The Sea', we arranged a foraging trip in its natural location (cue David Attenborough quote)

We were accompanied by our chief forager Chris, who took us down Sand Bay (Weston Super Mare) for a coastal sea veg identification walk. Afterwards, we lit a fire in a sheltered cove to cook mussels, mackerel and wild mushrooms with our Head Chef, Harriet.

All was washed down with our new beer, 'Of The Sea', made with lobster, cockles, saffron, star anise and arrow grass. Using food as an inspiration for beer is a staple for us at Wild Beer Co. and we've taken it to the next level with a beer inspired by Lobster Bisque. This is a real food beer and one we feel needs suitable celebration!

As well as this being a good excuse embrace the Great Outdoors and drink beer, this wass also an amazing educational experience. Chris is one of the top foragers in the UK right now, foraging for some of the best restaurants in the country.
